The MPD Autism or Special Needs Decal Program is a voluntary program designed to alert and provide responding officers with necessary information about anyone within the household with special needs regardless of age, race, or gender. This program will provide an officer with additional underlying information when responding to a non-emergency or emergency call, so they are equipped to provide the best care and assistance to your loved ones. Once your registration is submitted, you will be contacted by one of our Miami Police Department staff to verify the information. The information will be retained in a secure database for a period of one year unless it is renewed by the person reporting.
