The Policy Development Detail is responsible for researching, drafting, and updating departmental policies to ensure alignment with laws, best practices, and operational needs. The unit works with subject matter experts, reviews existing policies, and ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Approved changes are published in the Official Bulletin and shared department-wide to maintain consistency and accountability.
