LGBTQ+ VEHICLE
On Monday June 3, 2024, the Miami Police Department will be unveiling its newly wrapped LGBTQ+ Pride Vehicle designed by local artist Vic Garcia at 10AM. After the unveiling the Miami Police
Department and sixteen (16) other Law Enforcement agencies from Miami-Dade County will join forces in a multi-jurisdiction LGBTQ+ Police Pride Caravan for unity, transparency, and community
awareness.
The caravan will begin after the unveiling at Miami Police Department (400 NW 2nd Avenue, Miami, 33128) for all the agencies. The caravan will go along a planned route within Miami-Dade County
and continue south until reaching the final destination at the Village of Pinecrest.

DTRT Angel Calzadilla Scholarship
The Miami Police Department’s Do The Right Thing (DTRT) Program is in search of young adults between the ages of 18-22 interested in serving the community
as police officers in honor of Senior Police Executive Angel Calzadilla, a beloved Miami Police officer who passed away in 2011 due to cystic fibrosis.
Applications should be submitted online by February 26, 2024. You must be between the ages of 18-22 to apply. See attached flyer for further details.

2024 Mothers Against Drunk Driving Soccer Tournament
In efforts to continue raising awareness about the dangers of driving under the influence, the City of Miami Police will be hosting a soccer tournament as a
fundraiser for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.).
The tournament will take place on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Little Haiti Soccer Park located at 6301 N.E. 2 Avenue, Miami, FL 33138. For more information
